Wellness retreats

Wellness Retreats

Wellness retreats are one of my favorite offerings!  In working with clients for years, I heard the same thing over and over again -- "I wish I could just pause life for a minute and work on me!"  Well, this is the closest thing to doing just that.  


The purpose of the wellness retreat is to remove you from your usual enviroment with your usual stressors and usual responsibilities, and let you lean into a new, relaxing environment where the focus is on you!  Retreats are not therapy:  I provide coaching and counseling services to you when you're on the retreat, but most of the information is provided through workshops that are offered once to twice a day.  Workshops and indivdual coaching work together to allow you to explore your relationship with yourself, while also helping you to develop effective coping tools and perspectives to carry with you back into the hustle and bustle of daily life.  


Retreats can be themed, or be more generalized.  Some potential upcoming retreat themes are: 

  • for mothers
  • for couples (these are SO fun!)
  • for people struggling with trauma responses 
  • for men or women (focused on gender issues)
  • for those in the helping professions
  • so many more!


Retreats will all be a little bit different in what they offer and pricing will be different for each retreat.  An example daily itinerary from a recent retreat in the Dominican Republic (at an all-inclusive resort) is as follows: 


8:00 - 9:00am - breakfast with the group

9:00 - 10:00am - workshop #1 - Core Values and Beliefs exercise

10:00 - 1:00pm - free time (explore the resort, hang by the pool, swim in the ocean)

1:00 - 2:00pm - lunch with the group 

2:00 - 4:00pm - free time or individual meetings with facilitator

4:00 - 5:30pm - workshop #2 - Personality Testing and results

5:30 - 7:00pm - Zoom presentation by colleague - "Calming your Anxious Mind - 10 tools for anxiety management"

7:00 - 9:00pm - dinner with the group at theme restaurant 

9:00pm - moonlight affirmations by the ocean
